Dalton's Way is a breeder of quality lamancha dairy
goats located in Tabernacle, Burlington County, New Jersey. We began about 8 years ago as a 4-H project
for our youngest daughter, Brianna. She decided to join the 4-H and chose the Goatbusters 4-H Club. We started
out with a couple of Nigerian/Pygmy crosses and then moved on to full size dairy goats including Nubians, Toggenburgs,
Recorded Grades and finally Lamanchas. We fell in love with the Lamanchas and decided to focus on one breed.
With assistance from local breeders Bill and Martha Griner of Little Orchard Lamanchas, Eileen McKee of Candlelight as
well as our good friend, Lori Varga of Kapri-Acres, our lamancha herd began to prosper.
We purchased two does from Eileen McKee and two does and a buck
from Mr. & Mrs. Griner. We have been breeding only lamanchas for several years now and our herd
has quickly grown. All kids are raised on heat treated colustrum and pasteurized milk.
In 2007, we purchased a herd sire from Karen Senn of Kastdemur's Dairy
Goats and in 2008 we purchased Lit'l Dutch VG Irish Whisper.
We participate in Linear Appraisal and DHIR testing, are a CAE,
CL and Johnes negative herd and remain very commited to keeping it that way. We are members of
ADGA and joined the Garden State Dairy Goat Association in 2007 and the American Lamancha Club in 2010.
We really enjoy showing our goats and travel to as many shows as possible
each year. Brianna continues to participate in the 4-H shows as well.
We offer milking machine and Gast vacuum pump repair and service, surge and delaval
bucket milkers, and pulsator rebuilding.
We do offer kids for sale. There is a $100 deposit required on all reservations.
This deposit is refundable only if we are unable to fill the order. The buyer is responsible for all shipping
costs as well as the cost of crates, health certificiates, testing or any other fee associated with the sale.
2009 UPDATE - We are very excited to be giving AI a try this breeding season. We
have aquired some impressive semen and are anxious to give them a try. We attempted three does and it
appears one has settled. Not bad for the first go at it!
2010 Update - Our 2010 kidding season is upon us and it has been quite the buck year
so far but we are very pleased with what we are seeing out of Whisper, our newest herd sire.
We hope you enjoy visiting our site.
